When Inghams stitch you like a Kipper.
Not allowed to book a Ski package in advance so you are a captive market with no choice but to pay they're price for Ski package on arrival i.e £180 per person as opposed to a book in advance price quoted by another company of around £105.
So your cheap Skiing Hol becomes expensive.
Did anyone else find a way around this?
Otherwise Hotel and food was great- Most allocated on arrival seemed to be in the 3* Bor Hotel or the Edelweiss.

Unfortunately the conditions were a bit Icy in places and my Wife broke a rib on the first day. Otherwise a good week. Cheers.
Seems to me from what I have read on here all the holiday companies have pulled a fast one with regards to pre booking ski packs this year.
Sorry to hear about your wife's incident - did she manage to ski for the rest of the week or was she too badly hurt??
There were a few ways around this tricky problem - we used the Albena Ski School having contacted them before travel we were classed as pre booked and paid appropraitely.
We went with Balkan Holidays and everything was included in the price we paid in the travel agents. We were picked up outside the airport by a nice posh bus, taken to the fabulous Pamps Hotel, and because we didnt get to the hotel till 2 in the morning they had a hot meal laid on for us! The Inghams people had to walk from the hotel to another one to get their buses but I'm not sure what the score was with their passes or if they were ripped off.
What I'm basically getting at is that we had a fantastic, well organised holiday with no rip offs whatsoever!! Use Balkan holidays next time. And i dont even work for them!

I phoned Inghams 2 weeks before travelling to see if I could book in advance and was told only if I was complete beginner.
They said I would be thrown out of the class if they found out otherwise. They said I would have to book through their reps in resort, but could not give me price. So having never been before trusted what I was told. If I went again on last minute I would be far more wary and would make sure I could book Ski Pack in advance.
Have used Balkan twice now; found good service and good price. Plane was tight on leg room on the way there but OK on way back. Found no trouble booking ski packs, but you are right they do cost a lot more at resort.
