Snow decided to go elsewhere - UK! Bet the snow starts and doesn't stop by end of Jan through to March.
Still loved Bansko despite the lack of suitable weather.
Sad to think Bulgaria will change so much when the suro takes hold. Having seen this firsthand in Greece - it's not a pretty sight! I remember my daughter being a baby when the drachma changed to euro - 1euro was 340 drachma - night before euro my daughter went on one of those little kiddie rides you put money in - cost me ...

I remember my daughter being a baby when the drachma changed to euro - 1euro was 340 drachma - night before euro my daughter went on one of those little kiddie rides you put money in - cost me 100dr (20cents) - next day the ride was 1 euro!!!! That was a sign of things to come - I know it will happen in Bulgaria as well. Let's enjoy the next couple of years before the euro arrives!
Real problems with the Euro, the people do not want it, and give Greece as an example. Many tv reports showing the riots are screened here...
It will be forced by the EU but it will be resisted, and this new goverment are reviewing the situation...
They are obviously giving a picture of a smooth transition, but with so many countries who suffered after adopting the Euro, why will it be differant here ???
Just look around and you will get a great deal in the alpes
We looked at boro again for this year but with the worries on snow we looked at Italy
Got a 4* apartment with ski pass and ski boot hire ffor kids for £420
that's cheaper than boro last year, and they have snow sure resorts nearly 2mt up top where we are going
