we're hoping to go to Breckenridge USA in Jan 2009, i did love Borovets the first time we went in 2007, but it sort of lost its charm for me when we returned this year.
Somewhere - like BG - that's off the beaten track, that's an adventure to visit, but still practical for a family holiday... and wont smash the piggy bank. Not interested in clubs and bars. Want snow, red runs, off piste, and a comfy bed. Any suggestions?

We went to Val Thorens the week before Xmas. Just getting to the top of the Alps was fantastic. And the amount of runs available was amazing. But in a way I'm drawn to something more unusual. How was Slovakia?

Sounds interesting! My geography in that part of the world is a touch limited, I'm afraid, but I'll look it up. Would you go again?
Were there 12 of you? I guess if you have a big enough party you can get a good deal pretty much anywhere. Perhaps we should have a Bulgariaski expedition somewhere and take over a whole hotel! Any takers?
