hang on, before you book. Why did you (pamp pete) say avoid bansko. I was a first time skier last year and we went to bansko. I found it perfect. I was really supprised by how modern the ski lifts were. Also I beleive that bansko if the only resort that has an medival town. The town is great if you want a day off sking, i have never been anywhere like it. Little cobble streets and a beautiful square. it is a real find. Because Borovets and Pamporovo offer more green and blue runs for beginners. Bansko has more reds and blacks.

We have been to all 3. For first timers I don't think you can beet Pamps. Have a safe ski
