There may be similar posts to this that I've missed, but since I discovered this site while hunting for info on pamps a few weeks ago, I've been reading it daily and adding the odd post ... trouble is, reading it you only get a very limited picture of your fellow posters. On other forums I'm involved in, I've found that a wee bit of info helps all round ... and as I suggested it I'll go first.

Name: Robert Terence Kirkwood (Don't tell anyone my middle name!)

DOB: 11/09/71 ... makes me 32, and yes, my 30th was the day of the WTC attack ... what a fun party that was.

Occupation: I work at the RNIB Talking Books studio in Camden as a sound engineer ... basically I sit with my feet up all day and people read to me.

Other stuff: Scottish, but living in sunny Walthamstow, London. Been here three years since I left uni. Before I left Scotland I was a tech at a dry ski slope for seven years ... so given the right gear I could give ya a wax and service! Through the slope I learned to board (was a skiier before I converted) and have a huge inflexible, hard boot, Burton Alp from about 10 years ago. Needless to say, I'll be hiring gear in the resort!

I'm off to Pamporovo on the 13th of March, praying for snow, and staying away from the pub as much as is humanly possible till I get there!

You're up very late, I hope you have a good excuse, like me!. What a good idea, your suggestion of telling who and what you are.

All I will say to you at the moment, is that we had a fantastic time in Pamps, for the 4th or more year running as I am sure you and yours will have too. We live in Surrey and we are a family party of 21, who ski most years in Pamps. Must add, one of my Daughters shares your birthday, 11/9 only 10 years before. Oh! dear what a day that was!!!! We won't forget that one in a hurry, will we?

Love skiing though it's been a few years, love holidays in general - in the 5 years Mrs IMT and I have been together we have been to Antigua, Florida, Madrid, Maldives (Honeymoon of course), Egypt (sure I've missed 1 or 2), and now in just 6 days, off to sunny Pamp. Yipeeeeeeeeee. Got a mad Springer Spaniel to Jasper, love going out and 'socialising' and eating out etc.... Live in Sunny Bournemouth and have done forever....

Like you i found this site just after xmas when i decided to go skiing.. though not going till xmas as we have booked for the xmas week, like pamps pete said if you want to go around this time book up early cos we were told it was booked up by one travel agent but lucky us i had resevered with another ( was just checking out prices) we booked by the way 1st week in jan !!!!....and yes sold out or so we were told by then!

Any way im cheryl o'nion yes the surname is french but please dont hold it against me , never lived there , never want to...and im not french!!!!!!

As for the wtc attack i was moving from cornwall to ipswich for a change of life , well it wasnt only my life that changed that day , sadly lots other for the worst, so i will always remember where i was and wot i was doing!....oh and i have a lovely but some wot mad puppy ( all black german shephard) called diefen....

A fellow Scot living in the deep south, (Forest Hill) SE London. 06.12.65 makes me 38, I left Scotland in 1982 , so I have been a away from Scotland longer than I lived there! Ex Army, I now work for a bank in The City as a chauffeur driving the top banana.

I first went skiing at Glen Shee with the school, way back when I was about 12 or 13, I never skied again till I was in Germany with the army, then again in Canada, where I skied Lake Louise, Banff & Sunshine Village, and then I skied Pamps for the 1st time in 2000, and again this year, what a fantastic time I had!

Family of 5 just back from Pamps. Had great time, didn't see the kids so they must have enjoyed it!

Hubby Steve owns couple dry-cleaners, laundries, etc. I own beauty salon in Romford, so I can do wax and service also, just not quite like yours LOL!!!!!! Used to be a secretary (hence my incredible typing speed!), then sales rep, then full time mom until I "fell" into current profession.

Live in Hornchurch, have done all my life. Steve's originally from Leyton, so you could say he's my bit of rough!!!!! (joke).

Have two Jack Russell Terriers (or Jack Rascal Terrorists as anyone who has ever had one will know) called Jelly (short for Angelica) and Chukkie. Any fans of cartoon Rugrats will appreciate names.

Must go now and watch youngest in footy match. (Elder son currently in Banff with school - nice one)

Topper's 28, lives in the frozen wastes called Aberdeen but is from Manchester. Work on oil rigs in West Africa (spend most days working on me tan). Got a pilots licence, mad about surfing and boarding. Haven't got a dog. Have however got a long suffering girlfriend who puts up with me always disappearing off in search of surf/snow when I'm not working.
Dis give you an accurate picture of who I am? Oh and I'm devastatingly handsome.

Going to Borovets for the first time (6th March), new skier, (last year) and choose Bulgaria because it sounded off the beaten track.

Planning on going to Whistler this Christmas to check out the Canadian ski scene, have relatives in Vancouver so a combined trip.

I am worried that I am going very late in the season, but work commitments have dictated the date.

Great site for information, and thanks to all of the full replies and numerous threads, I am building up a good picture.

This will be my first ski holiday abd can't wait!! I am going with my hubby, sister in law& bro in law(all first timers too ... lol)

I live in Mansfield, Notts. I have been married to Andy for 3 yrs (this yr), we got married in Cyprus and incase your wondering - no he's not a cypriot!!! lol. I havent got a dog ... lol, but i have one cat named Misty!!

I like shopping, going to the cimema, holidays, socialising. Not sure yet if my intersts will involve ski-ing!!!! lol
