With an unexpected day off work as the school was shut I had a very lazy day and didn't set foot outside the door. My son was most disappointed that his school wasn't closed and his wicked mum sent him in though.
To be fair living in Portsmouth we didn't get much but he went up the hill nearby after school to play in it so didn't miss out completely .... my lovely friend volunteered and I bit her hand off lol
Hmm
I spent twenty minutes digging out my car, then struggled to drive the 7 miles to school (took me 1 hour 20 minutes) ... and it was closed.
Someone rang home to tell me at 8am, but I was almost there by then. Not stirring tomorrow till I know for certain it's open!
we got a slight covering in Newcastle way (enough to make most panic as non snow people do!)- was expecting a decent dump tonight but its raining outside now! DONT TRUST THE FORCASTS EVEN HERE!
Got a text at 8.15am telling me my school was closed .....I saw the weather and didn't even get up. Was very lucky .....don't think we will get anymore 2nite unfortunately so looks like I am back to work tomorrow.
I didn't - here in mid Gloucestershire it was only sleet all day. It was starting to snow properly and sticking a bit earlier this evening, but it's stopped now.
Part of me really wants more so I can have a day off, but the other part of me doesn't want to get all the clean skiwear out now I am getting ready to pack it!!!
My Kids used our recycling bins like sandcastle buckets to make a massive wall right across our close, about 8 feet high. Milkman didn't see it and reversed into it. Doh !
