Hi to all on the forum and especially Benn this is for you! Found this site a few days ago and have laughed and cried at some of the comments did`nt want to post but thought it time i did!
I went on my first snowboarding holiday 4yrs ago to Romania arrived to about 200yrds of snow total in the whole resort,with no snow on the horizon. I soon got bored so went for a drink in a local bar got talking to a local lady no not that sort! She was a bit of a gypsy type she said ,"I look at you and see snow" so i said i b-----dy hope so or words to the effect.After several beers and the local moonshine they give you free i staggered to the door and went outside to walk back to the hotel.By the time i got to the steps of the hotel it started snowing! Not thinking about snow conditions by this time as the moonshine had kicked in i went to bed...on my own i hasen to add gypsy lady still in bar. I woke the next morning to 3ft of snow and it snowed for 3days solid.
I`m trying to make it brief so i`ll shorten it a bit the next year i went to Mayrhofen very little snow went into the local bar at bottom of the Penken lift if you have been its the one with those tables that people dance on.(not really into that kind of thing but could`nt help but look as you get off the lift). I was taken inside by a lady of the gypsy lookin type and had a few drinks no free ones this time! She said to me ,"you look fed up",i said i was disappointed with the conditions and this should`nt be like this in February in Austria!She said "don`t worry i look at you and see snow".Usual stagger out back to hotel and yes your getting the picture now it snowed solid for 4days.Last year went to Aviemore for a week no snow until i arrived then they had the biggest dump for twenty years+ no gypsy involved in person this time but plenty of Bellhaven best sorted that one cause had a dream about one and it certainly snowed!
This year i am going to borovets on the 22nd stayin at the Rila haven`t bumped into a gypsy type lady yet but if you look on "netweather.tv" its gonna snow from 22nd to 29th.
Anyway hope to see many of you knocking about whilst we are there ,should be 15 of us girls and boys from 19 to 44 yrs old any meetings goin on and we`ll be there.We will be tryin all the bars and some.The snow conditions will be great you only live once so enjoy.
