yes i'd agree, have booked with Neilson once and twice with Balkan. Balkan best value by far... aside from the dodgy planes!

We have just booked with Thomson for 2nd Feb 2008, group of 14 going to Borovets and staying at the Rila on H/B complete with full ski packs (both learn to ski and intermediate ski) and it worked out to £445 per person for the week.

Thomsons, we just got a four star in Bansko for £300 half board, there were much cheaper ones than that going on the 3rd March - cheaper to book on the net and do not be put off by the prices coming up, go through the booking, the price of our hol was £387 but we got it for £303 once we got to the end of the booking.
Crystal are exactly the same price as Thomson are, supposed to be the posh side of the company TUI and you are supposed to get a better service in the resort I normally go with ...

re: Whos to Book With At a Resonable Price

i booked the kempinski grand arena 5* for approx 500quid b&b with Balkan on 24th. I've seen it for a lot more with other companies. i also think ski packs are cheaper than most others.

Balkan use Bulgaria air... i've flown with them before and while it hasnt put me off i aint looking forward to seeing if it'll be the same tin can that i flew in last time. aparently tho we're only gettin sarnies this time... makes a difference to the boiled veg gone cold that i had last year!

re: Whos to Book With At a Resonable Price

Last year booked with Balkan, very dodgy plane and food, this year we went with Crystal, much better by far, we have stayed at the Bor both times and don't mind the 15 minute walk. £380.oo ea. half board plus, instruction, lift pass, boot and ski hire.

Try Inghams, we have gone with them for the last 3 years. Prices very competitive and they are giving an early booking discount at the moment for 2008, plus an extra £40 off per person if you book online.
