Why I go to Bulgaria

I've been reading with interest now the discussion is hotting up again. It seems there is the usual crowd of "bulgaria is cheap go somewhere else" posters. Why do they post on here if they hatebg so much?
I thought i'd better state my reasons for going.
1 Friendly people
I've been about a bit, and can honestly say that the bulgarians are one of the friendliest folk I have met

Despite some complaints, bg is still very good value. Lift passes are relatively expensive, but then if they aren't how will the resort be improved in the future? As fo everything else, if you want to pay top price for something go ahead. I've allways found an alternative, and paid very little whil skiing in bg
3 Company
Having been to the alps, I have experienced the "oh youve been to bulgaria? how nice.." crowd. They might have been a minority, but the airs and graces they put on are laughable. Every time I've been to bg, usually on my own, I have made some fantastic friends. None of us care if we haven't got 6000km of piste to sjki on, we are there to enjoy ourselves.
I found this
Skiing in Bulgaria
it looks like the skidvd crowd enjoying themselves?
Whatever, they are doing simply that...enjoying!

Roll on february, I'll be doing the same Very Happy

Sorry if I overstepped the mark posting a link, I couldn't see anything for sale, and thought it summed it up to perfectly not to share.

Hit the nail on the head I reckon. If it werent for the value for money BG provides it is unlikely that our family of 5 would have discovered skiing at all and we wouldnt have made so many new friends. We are all looking forward to our 2nd family ski holiday. Roll on January!
