re: Will it snow?

thanks for the honest forecast. That was the bit info which tipped it over for me and I finally canceled the trip to Boro and booked one self drive to France so now I stop to worry about snow, about BA staff going on a strike at half-term, about missing ski gear ,about tickets and extra charges for them etc.Now I just wait for the enjoyment of a normal SKI holiday with SNOW in the frame the only thing left to buy are the snow chains.

Where about in France are you going sam? Some resorts are looking fantastic at the moment e.g. Tignes and surround resorts.

You should have a great time. Good luck. Very Happy

Au revoir !

re: Will it snow?

when you ski quality ,all day and almost non-stop ,price does not matter that much.anyway in Alpe dhuez the prices just after New year were not more than in England to be honest.breakfast is the most important thing each day.then big sandwich up the 2700m was 5 euro hot chocolate -2 ,teas even cheaper.Lunch for us is quick- and -go.In the resort dinner was up to 20euros each .we dont drink alcohol so these are very good prices.

Secret:-If you want to go to Bulgaria and ski non-stop do it right at the end of season.every year we go there .last year in Boro beginning of April the snow was brill and on top there were 15 people including us so we had all the slopes to ourselfs.year before we were even mid april I have still lift pass showing 15 april 2005.we could ski all the way down as well.another thing was that the flights were very good value then.low cost wizzair is not anymore low cost.if you want to go off peak prices are down to £50 plus discounts for regulars etc.Hotels are dirt cheap then .just look for the present weather check if the gondola is open and go.It is always the same-begining of season and the end are the best(providing there is snow)
