Worst I've Seen It in Pamps! BUT.....

Hi All
Tis our last day today for 4 weeks so i had to go up and see how things are regardless of conditions on the cams.
It is pretty poor i have to say - Worst we have seen in 4 years at Christmas - There is a BUT though....
The piste management and Stoykite run are the saviours of Pamporovo!!! Intermediates and advanced riders/ skiers will get all the fun they want out of Stoykite 1 - Snow cannons all the way, patchy at the top and bottom but the middle sections are superb ...

I had alot of fun on the board today and while you have to dodge a few patches the middle part makes up for it big time!!
Beginners - they are taking everyone up top and coming down the red and green (road) - these runs a better than last year considering - again due to cannons. If the temps remain low you will have something to do.
Kids - the sledging looks fantastic at Ski Station 2!!!
Have to say well done to whoever is in charge of the moutain prep - they are trying hard to give everyone a chance to enjoy the slopes!!!!
Happy Days - See you when we get back on 28th Jan for a couple of weeks!!!

Phil,The last hundred yards of the Stoikite runs were rough last year, with little tree stumps etc.sticking up.
Don't know if you went down those runs last year, but would you say they have improved ?
I'm out there in Feb half term.

Yep i went down them last year a few time and know how poor they were!! Nearly wrecked me board!They have been totally cleared of any debris and stumps in the summer and are now proper pistes! As i said - patchy now though but you can run through them no problem with a bit of confidence...
