I live close to Xscape Leeds - actually Castleford it is nowhere near Leeds!!
It looks and feels impressive, never been on the snow though.
It is skiing on real snow, but you have to be able to ski!
Lessons are not the cheapest 8hours (full day) costs £150.00 - if you can ski and you have to agree to this and other rules then it is still costly but looks worth it
It is considering what you can get with a Full Ski Pack or a Learn to Ski Pack to Bulgaria... plus you get to sample the whole feeling of the alpine nature of a ski resort
My wife had a ski lesson there only last week,it was the first time we had been, looks a bit short and straight for my liking but my wife thought the tuition was good.
They provide helmets that you must wear if you are learning with one of their instructors.
There are two button drags -one either side, one faster than the other.
mon-fri 16 for recreational skiing and 20 for lessons, weekends and evenings it's 20 rec' and 26 for lesson. Lessons last 1 hour.
If you go to rec' and can't ski ...

If you go to rec' and can't ski very well -they kick you off and tell you to book a ski lesson.
forgot to tell you that booking on the phone costs you an extra quid to booking online, but as you can't book online apart from sending an email and awaiting a reply-Crazy!
and when you ring be prepared to wait in a telephone queueing system for at least 15 minutes--good luck.
We went last sunday. Not bad actually. Although a bit busy its a lot better than dry slopes.
They are also having an ice wall for climbing - very impressive
We only went to buy ski gear from the outlet village next to it (very cheap as well salopettes £25 and coat £35) but it looked so good we had to give it a go.
