Xscape

Went to Boro in Jan for our 1st Ski Holiday and got hooked but could not swing another trip this year.

Going to Xscape (Castleford) later this month, any tip's?

re: Xscape

This is not a negative comment about xscape but when you have done the real thing it is very expensive for what you can do when you get there

re: Xscape

If you can get there early ie 9am Mon - Fri you can get 2hrs for £20.00 or 3hrs for £25.00, and you get a free coffee.
Its much quieter and last I went before going on hols in Jan I did a rough calculation that we did approx 50 runs down.
I agree with above - its not the same as the real thing but its good for practice. I went 1 per mth from August to Jan to help boost the confidence & it worked wonders.
My son went again on Friday.

Good luck Very Happy

Thanks for you comments, the free coffee sounds good value!!

what grade of slope would you class it as and can you start at various points depending on your confidence?

re: Xscape

Problem with weekends is that it gets really busy. We were there early one Sunday in mid-January and we spent most of the time queuing. In an hour, I reckon we probably got no more than about eight runs! It's poor value for what they charge - and it'sa certainly nothing like as good as the real thing.

Now, now Bouncer & Bartezki you obviously didn't smile nice enough when they served you cos mine was ok. Anyway you can always swap it for tea or a soft drink.
Its amazing how some just have to find something negative in everything.

re: Xscape

I'd advise you not to go on a Sunday, it's their busiest day of the week according to one of the instructors at Castleford. I had a lesson on a Sunday morning whilst my other half used the slope, he only got about 6 runs, spent most of the time queuing!
