Going to Pamps again on the 10th March, for the 10th time!!!!! staying this time at pamorovo Hotel, it is the best in the resort, i've stayed in most of the hotels there now and most are OK people expect too much, even the Hotel Bor was OK, but the Pamporovo is the nearest you would get to UK quality, dont worry you will be fine, hope they get some more snow soon though!!!!

Stayed at Hotel Pamporovo 2 weeks ago. Unless you are at breakfast at 7.30 am you aint getting in. Or at least you will if you wait. Worse in the evening if you are half board. Sometimes the queue was over an hour long. Hotel rooms and corridoors very dark and dingy. Hotel and resort so bad, packed up, hired a car from Sofia (had it delivered and collected for £180 for 5 days) and went to Borovets even though I had paid a package for the week. Had to come back on the Friday to catch the bus ...

Hotel and resort so bad, packed up, hired a car from Sofia (had it delivered and collected for £180 for 5 days) and went to Borovets even though I had paid a package for the week. Had to come back on the Friday to catch the bus back to Plovdiv on the Saturday (Plovdiv airport is yet another story)
Stayed at Yastrebets Hotel in Borovets. Wow what a hotel. Even by UK Standards. Booked a one bedroomed suite that slept four with a huge L shaped balcony overlooking the slopes for £80 per night bed and breakfast ( that was for all of us not each) Had masses of snow. Over 1 meter of powder on the runs themselves.
My advise is if you can get to Borovets then go, you wont be dissapointed.
Next year fly to Sofia aiport (when you've been to Plovdiv you'll understand why) . Its 45 mins to Borovets. Have lifts and a Gondola to different parts of the mountain and many of the runs come back to the main resort centre where all the bars, restaurants and hotels are.
Take some money and buy your new ski gear. A friend of mine bought new coat, bottoms and a bum protector for £70 the lot and its good stuff.
Unfortunately Pamps has got no snow. You will be skiing down a couple of runs with everyone else and either walking back down or getting the chair back down to the bottom. However if you decide to come back off the slopes early in the morning you wont get back up the slope from the chair as its pure sheet ice and untill it melts your stuck unless you have the footing of a gazelle.

Hope it snows for you.
