Nonsense. £ Euros or Leva accepted. Change your money over there for a better rate Steve

re: a money question

They are talking rubbish, everywhere accepts the lev, its their currency after all!
Take sterling cash (Notes not defaced in anyway or torn), exchange cash at the hotel banks
have fun!

re: a money question

What a waste of time. Just use a bank card.

re: a money question

You will have difficulty using any of your bank cards to pay for things as they are not up to date with credit cards but you can get cash out of the hole in the wall but this will cost a lot more than taking good quality sterling and exchanging for your levs.
Shop around because the rate varies from around 2.65 leva to the pound up to
2.82 leva out of the resort area.

Richard.
