re: alcohol and bar prices

Be warned that spirits are usually counterfeit so your great offer of 2 for 1 cocktails will have you drinking industrial alcohol and the hangover from hell the next day. Either do like the Bulgarians and ask for your drinks unmixed (so you can check you're not drinking petrol) or go for beers/bottle mixed drinks. Also the bar staff will under measure your drinks as this is how they make their money. Bouncers are pretty aggressive and unable to communicate so if you get too lairy it might ...

Other than that, its a blast. Plenty of cheap strippers/hookers for later on too. Be sure to haggle the price down to around 50 euro per hour.

Because I spend a significant portion of my salary on paying for them.

LOL Very Happy perhaps you should head to Berlin then. Interesting article in the Times yesterday. Apparently the credit crunch is having an adverse effect on the red light district in Berlin and one "enterprising" establishment is charging £60 for as many prostitutes as you can handle on you visit!!!!! Very Happy

I always try and negotiate for pro rata on the grounds that I only need one and then never for more than 10 minutes. Including showering.

Hi Ryan,

The bars you def want to look out for are Kareoke Bar opposite the Rila hotel and Chilli Peppers. Buzz Bar is a popular club but as already mentioned if too intoxicated, staff liable to rip you off, be aware!!

Dont worry the place is so compact you'll have the placed sussed on your 1st night.

P.s Alpina Bar is really cheap and run by an English couple who frequent this site nearer the season. They also have a web cam during the season on another site, Ski DVD, not sure if ...

As long as you keep drinking, they'll stay open

re: alcohol and bar prices

Can vouch for the staying open until you leave.

One night/morning we left the Friendly bar at 8am... only 4 of us in the group the other groups left at no later than 3pm. That said we did drink consistantly until we left.
