We have bought a studio in the Grand Monastry so this is our first time going over from Belfast..so i'm really sorry for all the questions - but, when you arrive in Sofia, do you hire a car or get a bus?? and is the best way to hire ski stuff and lessons just to do it on this site???
Nicola I got flights from dublin with Aer Lingus cost £200 return. Balkan quoted me £250 last year from Belfast. You can also do easyjet to gatwick and onto Sofia. If your flights in early you can get the bus from Sofia cost about £6 to Pamps. Or if you arrive late you can arrange pick up and lift to Pamps costs 90 euro. Watch the taxi men at Sofia airport they are crooks should cost no more than 11 lev from airport to the bus terminal.
90 EURO !!!! Omg ! Wow, that's a lot of money ! Mind you, what would i know, i live in Borovets, lol. I know Pamporovo is a lot further away, but all the same, 90 Euro ! If you getting taxi to the station, make sure it is an OK taxi. I know they are all yellow, but only get the yellow one with OK on it. They are very good.
i was reading some of the bits last night on the discussion board and is Pamps out of the question for ski-ing in March/April time? i was looking online last night and i got a great price from air lingus from dublin on 28th feb - 82 euro return - of course there was your baggage on top of that of 30 euro. that is great news about the bus - you couldn't be bad to £6!!!
Hi Nicola thats the flight the wife and I are on, and back on the 7th march. If your on the same flights we could share transport to pamps. we also plan to get the bus to sofia on the 7th which would give you an idea of the route and were the bus station is for future. If its of interest I can send you an email with my contact details.
