any borovets update

hi I'm coming out on the 2ND of Jan, please can someone give me a update on the snow, and if you can ski in borovets yet.

Get your walking boots on Graham.
The good news is there is some snow forecast over the next few days. Hopefully it might just be enough to get some skiing in.
I'll see you there.... I'm flying from Gatwick tomorrow.

Looks like there will be some but I have no idea how much is needed to get the slopes skiable. They are pretty grassy at present:

Its very warm and VERY windy in Sofia, so even if there is snow the gondolas will be closed for sure in Borovets. However, the storm might herald a change in the weather and bring on the proper winter

Only 1 lift open (in front of Rila) on 1st Jan, 2.30pm here at Boro. The baby slopes is now thoroughly carved up, slushy and muddy. Grass everywhere, so we will need at least 20cm to make it a good base. Overnight temps too warm to snow making too. Fingers cross for all of you. Sadly for me, its a matter of hanging out at the hotel. At least my better half is getting beginner lessons in. Happy New Year all!

That depends on your insurance cover Joyce.

Well it is forcasted for moderate snow for Sat night but showers off an on through the weekend, may be the gondola for you!
Top slopes will be open mostly.
