Whilst I appreciate that some people have to stick to the school holidays I've said it before and I'll say it again that Bulgaria doesn't have the greatest snow record at the start of the season so if you want to go early on go somewhere else like Cervinia for example in the Italian Alps. No snow problems there. Also for the record I asked my tour operator whether early or late would be better in Bansko and they said late. Perhaps you chose the wrong tour operator.

Lynn, I am sorry Bansko didnt meet your expectations. Just for the record though "Oggy" the ski school guy who fell on the ski road was, by his own admission" going "pretty quick" when he fell..a novice ski would be safer! The tragic fatality was not a consequence of poor piste conditions, it was a tragedy which had other associated factors and I dont think the board is the place to discuss such sad events.

I am worried you would give the impression Bansko isn't safe- I dont agree at all ...
