hi allcould anyone give me an idea of transfer times from Sofia to Bansko. transfers have bene booked via agent so likely to be a bus.

Sofia to Bansko is 59 miles (95km) so it's likely to take you about 1hr 15mins depending on traffic and road conditions.

Have to agree with the 160km estimate, took us 2.5hrs with a 15min stop halfway. Big roadwork going on around out skirts of Sofia, so depending what time of day travelling you may be caught in that, expect to easily add another 30mins.re: bansko - transfer times

If you avoid the main Sofia Rush hour 2hour 15 can do it!!

I do it virtually every day, 2.5 hrs is good if the traffic is light... The gauntlet of speed cameras and speed traps keeps your speed down, and the snow of course... 2.5 - 3 is average

I do agree with Steve C. As I also do this route several times a week, with a safe drive in winter conditions it takes at least 2.5 hours.re: bansko - transfer times
Cheers all. Hope the bus/taxi driver is a good one and we get ther in less than 3.think we land in Sofia about 6-7 so a long journey after that cuts into our drinking time hehe..
