In ans to ur Q....I'm not entirely sure - one of our friends booked it...I think it's between bansko and the town of Dobrinishte. We get a shuttle bus service too which is cool out to Bansko so we will be out there - apre-ski!!
Have six days...am deciding on whether to learn ski or snowboard or both - what do you think?? want to actually enjoy some ski snowboard not speand too much time on arse!
there fouof us guts flying from manchester on the 24th to hotel guinness in bansko! all boarders! personally i think if you've not tried skiing then go for boarding every time much cooler and better clothes too!! best thing to do IMHO is get some lessons here first so you can at least be in control when you get there otherwise you'll have a week of bruises and pains! try castleford or tamworth or even the new place at trafford park, it'll be well worth it!!
Thanx for that info! I have been looking at slopes here in the UK such as castleford Xscape you mentioned and I do seroiusly think it would be a gd idea to get the basics B4 getting out there. We are all going from Manchester too! tho on the saturday 23rd just B4 you guys arriving in Sofia at around 7pmish. So which bars are best to visit in Bansko?
last time i visited bansko was in 04 and i'd only had an hours lesson at x-scape, couldn't turn or anything, had a few lessons out in bansko but TBH it sort of ruined my hol as the rest of the guys i was with could all board.
had a few nasty falls as i was pushing too hard.
at tamworth you can learn the basics in a day think it's about 90 quid, was at x-scape yesterday and they offer a similar deal but you'll have the button lifts to deal with!!!! lol!
personally i fond the happy end bar ...

personally i fond the happy end bar at the base of the gondala station has a great apres ski atmosphere, some say a little pricey but i'd rather pay a bit more for a fun place to be, they had a few bands and things on there last time which were quite impressive!, plus everyone turns up there in the gear and you get a real sense of the party atmopshere so talked about wit boarding-skiing, as i said though this was 3-4 years ago and things may have changed a bit since then.
our flight from manc has changed it's now going via edinburgh then onto plovdiv instead of sofia!(joy)! have any of you been on a wiinter hol before?
