Gidday all,

We're of to Bansko for the first time on the 23rd. Normally head to France but with the costs of Bulgaria you can do 3 holidays for the same price of one French holiday. Laughing I am!!!.
Bit of a worry on the snow front but no worries loads of time for a good dump yet.
Staying at the Perun so give me a yell if there are any other aging boarders out there heading that way for the last week of Jan.

Bansko is fantastic and if you see the piste cams on the official banskoski.com site you will be much happier with the snow

I was in Bansko for the first time last season (March 2004) and had a great time

By brother and his finer half are talking of coming over from NZ next season. We live close to Turoa in New Zealand (although I've been here for 10 years now) so were born with planks on our feet although I've recently switched to one board. Normally it cost's too much to fly from NZ to europe for a ski holiday but with Bulgarian prices this could be a good option.
My other half has just asked if there are any shops in Bansko ie ski/snowboard kit.

Yes there is a couple of dedicated shops here, so don't worry.

As crazy lady says there are some shops in Bansko including a Rossingnol (excuse the spelling) near Hotel Bansko.

Not as many as you may think in regard to sole snow shops but you will be fine

You guys are great. What the hell have I been doing wasteing all my time in France and Austria over the last 10 years.

If anybodys in Bansko for the last week in Jan, I'll see you in the white stuff.
