7th Jan is slap in the middle of Russian holidays and catches the end of the Romanian holidays I'd expect it to be mega busy . Either get to the gondola as it opens or get a taxi up to bunderishka would be my advice , you can lose the will to live in that gondola queue .re:bansko
time is getting near to pack lets hope for snow,right the wife is not skiing can anyone recommend a nice mountain bar / restaurant she can chill out in during the day, somewhere close to the lifts where we can all meet up in for food etc, when in pamps we found the lodge ideal base to meet

Either at the top station or shilingarniki , either way she will have to get a gondola pass to be able to get to them , or shuttlere:bansko
You have the VIP Restaurant at the top of the gondola - on idea how you book it though! At the base station there is The Happy End & Euphoria not to far - which are the most popular (Go upstairs in Euphoria & sit outside - ask for blankets if its cold).

ahh that is unexpected, someone somewhere said it would be quite, yes we plan to be up early for the gondola each morning.
