re: bar at gatwick

Was just checking it out myself and it now says that the lounges are non-smoking. The last time i used them was Febuary last year and although the main lounge was non-smoking, they had a side lounge (seperate room) for smokers.

Anyone know if this is still the case?

I'll check with Angie when she gets home, but we have used the free VIP lounge for the last couple of years and it's brill.

As usual though, she arranges it all because she works at Lloyds.

Will let you know.

Hel, VIP used to be for business class and first class passengers, but they have let it be open to all for the last few years now. The only requirement they ask is that you dress smart/casual.

I'll email you the link.

Cheers Pete, i was thinking that the smoking rule may have changed since we have had alot of fuss about banning smoking in pubs etc here this last year.

re: bar at gatwick

I thought so. Usually i get to airports early (i get to excited and just want to get there) and end up spending a small fortune on booze and Maccy D's etc.
It actually worked out cheaper for me (was about £17 per person last year), and it was alot more comfortable, although the fact that the bar was self service also helped alot. Booze

This is what ya get for ya money:

Free - Soft and Alcoholic Drinks
