Without leaving the village, can anyone recommend some cheaper places to have a few drinks?re: bars in boro
cheaper than what? whats your definition of cheap?i reckon most places are still cheap compared to the uk and most places do the drinks offers, so you just follow the happy hour for the night.

Mik i dont think you will find any bars cheaper than the alpina where you will pay around one lev for a large beer.

There is a very nice bar run by Kero called the Harp Bar
roughly next to the Ela Hotel.Down from the gondola on the same side.

Cheapest bar by far last Jan was the Alpina.Lovely British couple (Aimee & Arie), straight forward food, good entertainment and excellent value all round. The good news is that they are running the place again this season

Alpina was defo the least expensive place in Boro last year, but personally i didnt think it had much of an atmosphere and the food was poor.re: bars in boro
Whereabouts is the alpina- Going in Jan and sounds like a great place to start a night.Best thing about the Harp if i remember rightly is it sells guiness
. And it tastes alright unlike when you get it in spain and places like that
