bartering....

odd one this....

is bartering welcomed in Bulgaria?? Have absolutely no idea but have heard other people on here mention that they have done so when they thought they were being ripped off.

hmmmm... Not seen it done. Will try and swap my son for something more useful. U can try and haggle a bit..esp if paying in Sterling or Euros

Yeah- can be done with the main street traders in Borovets- my son got a hat down from 30 leve to 15! (and hes only 9!)

I have bartered in the past. You could barter western clothing, especially jeans and trainers for private ski lessons.

Nowadays try haggling, especially for trips, taxi rides etc

Must admit limited apres ski for me as the kids were knackered and away to bed early most nights- but once they learn theres plenty of time for that later as they get older an all that! It will not be long before they say "just get off out dad were ok on our own" etc- so enjoying time with them while i can!

I feed mine plenty of E's so they keep going day and night.
