Many.......... many years ago
In a foreign land all white with snow
A man came up with a wonderous thought
As every day through the drifts he fought
He felled a tree, and then took 2 branches
To help him through the avalanches
Strapped two pieces to his feet
Then started skiing down the street
The townsfolk cheered him every day
As he struggled hard to make his way
But soon they too we're felling trees
To make their very own first skis
The news then travelled far and ...

Now all these years have whistled by
And many folk have come to try
This cultured way of having fun
Just skiing down a piested run
But now our sport is not unique
'Cause now there is a new technique
Dispel one ski, the young guys roared
And go for it on just one board
Turning, twisting, flying, jumping
Nerves of steel and hearts a pumping
Boarding where no one's been before
Defying death.......then back for more
So as we go....... where the snowclouds fall
Spare a thought for the guy who started it all
For had he not invented the ski
What a miserable lot we all would be
Have fun this year, be it board or ski
And maybe spend some time with me
We share this special winters love
To fly the mountains on the wings of a Dove
The snow will stay when you depart
But Bulgaria will steal your heart
And never will it give it back
It broke the day you had to pack
And leave the land that brought such fun
To you and me and everyone
So cherish every skiing day
And enjoy it all in every way
For be you young or in your prime
Your sure to have a smashing time
Just keep yor smile a metre wide
As you frolic in the countryside
Don't leave Bulgaria with a tear
Just book again and ski next year

There once was a fellow from over the sea,Who laid one night thinking should i board or ski,
Then he woke up, put his skis on and went out and had the most awesome day of his short life, all the time thinking -- God, was that a nasty nightmare i had last night or what !!!!!!! No more late nite Jagermeister for me. Doitman

Go for ski Jon,at least you won't have to sit on yr arse all day,then spend the rest of the day either walking the flat bits or scrapping the snow off the pieste!!!TT
