re: bording or skiing which is easyist to lern and which is more fun ?
I just had a week of boarding (first time) and a week of skiing last year (first time).
I would have to say definitely boarding, even though I truly thought I would hate it and not get it at all, thought I would have a go. I did the lesson on the first day (learnt more in the hour before the lesson and the rest of the afternoon after it than I did in it, therefore skipped the rest of the weeks lessons) and on the second day was happily cruising down blues with good control and reasonable ...

Once you have the basics under wraps, you are off and running. A friend told me give it three full days before you quit, and it did all fall completely into place by the third day.
I really loved skiing last year too, but board is definitely now the preference - primarily because I think you have a lot more control of your speed on the steeper sections! But thats just me, and I guess everyone is different.
