Hi Steve. Its me again. We are going to take sterling notes to Bansko. We wondered if we should change a little up at the airport or wait until we get to the hotel. We are staying at the Pirin and the brochure says they have 24 hour exchange facilities there. With our afternoon flight from Gatwick it doesn't look as though we will get to Bansko until about 11pm. What would you advise having been there.Thanks.

Sorry for delay in replying, missed the thread. Suggest changing a little at the airport (Sofia) but check the rates inc commission. Dependant on what time you get in i cannot say whether the exchange will be open. The hotels generally
provided good rates, i stayed at the Tanne and they were very good but it was pre-season. There are a couple of cash points around the town that seem to accept
credit/debit cards from the UK so that could tide you over on Sat night and Sun until you ...
