May be me, want to visit the wine fair in Plovdiv and then had some days in Samokov and Borovez, normally march is good for skiing and have fun, I hope there will be enough from the snow I brought there last week.
Hi Laura - I'm guessing the same Laura as previous posts re solo skiing? If I'm there then, absolutely - I'm keeping an eye on the snowfall for the next couple of weeks as no point in going there a 2nd time this year if the snow is poor, and also looking at late deals. Did the 7th March for a week last year and there was tons of snow whilst I was there and even more when I left so you've got a great chance!!!
I think the Moura is fien since renovation some years ago, very similiar to Breza.
You can organize you transfer you self too. Take the bus from Sofia south busstation to Samokov and then the Minibus to Borovez, if your arrival time is okay...
Cost just 7 lev and may be 5 lev for the cab from the airport to the busstation...
Breza is lightly closer to the gondola but Mura is only a few mins walk away. Both are pretty central. The rooms in the Moura are slightly bigger and they are laminate flooring, so if you're a non-smoker they are slightly better as the rooms don't smell as much as the Breza - these are carpeted so hold the cigarette smell in for longer. But, they're pretty much identical and both run by the same guy - who is the owner of Black Tiger / Kareoke bar. Breza is probably a nicer ...
HI Laura,
Breza is lightly closer to the gondola but Mura is only a few mins walk away. Breza is probably a nicer 'feel' to it as it's smaller and the upstairs bar is really cosy and not too big that you will feel 'lost' / alone. The restaurant also has more of a cosy feel to it.
Also, your coach transfer seems quite a lot for 1 person. I will email you details of someone that we suggest people use. It is not our business, just friends of ours - they are locals so their english is not great, but they are the cheapest around!
I'm sure we will meet up when you are here and I'm doubly sure you'll have a great time. Met Caz (the other one!) out here a couple of weeks ago and she's lovely, so you'll have someone to hang out with if she can make it out.
If you have any more questions / want any more help, then just shout!
