borovets next year

ok, im an apartment owner in borovets renting out this season for the first time but ive been thinking about all my bookings this year and pre-bookings for next year

this year out of 9 weeks booked only 1 week was taken by the english. ive had russians, greeks, romanians, irish and bulgarian guests. they all seemed happy with borovets.

for next year i already have 3 weeks booked, once again only 1 week being english.

so why are our fellow europeans happy with borovets unlike many ...

all the stories about fighting late at night (personally not seen a fight ever), getting drinks spiked when on the lash etc etc... do you think maybe the europeans simply dont see this side of life at night because they are tucked up in bed???

any thoughts????

re: borovets next year

I would say that the expectation levels of some of the other nationalities that you have mentioned are not as high as ours, due to the fact that they have only started travelling abroad in the past few years.

Money for ya buck seys it all really
Bulgaria is not the cheap resort if used to be,i think thats the main problem if they dont go back to being the budget resort then ppl like yourself may struggle to let out your properties. As for the fighting,i did not see any and to be honest that can happen anywhere at any resort.

re: borovets next year

JUst got back on the 8th March from our third ski holiday in Borovets, yes prices have fone up slightly but i still only spent £220 for the week and that included eating out every night, beers, food up the Gondola etc so i think its still a bargain and love the place.

Yes Brits do seem to be more night owls but hand on heart we say no violence and we where out celebrating an 18th birithday and had no hassle

Where do you advertise maybe word is not getting out about your apartment?

Not sure about the Irish argument here, but maybe it is easier to arrange your own travel to a privately rented apartment when already on the continent. Maybe the Irish are used to conecting flights and deal with all the details themselves. Perhaps the brits just want a "secure" package deal, with a rep they can moan too?

Dunno really. Just a thought. Confused
