borovets runs

Hi all
Just planning my annual ski hol. Have been skiing a few times now with last visit in pomporovo, looking at borovets this year, however there doesn't seem to be alot of easy runs for my partner. they all look red and black? Any comments to ease my mind?

re: borovets runs

He will be ok, just buy him a helmet and have good insurance Razz

Joking aside, most of the easy runs in Borovets are very short and very narrow. The mussala path (green) is long but nothing more than a path which doesnt allow for much enjoyable skiing.

This is a problem in Borovets, but not the end of the world. If he has skied before, he shouldnt have much of a problem on most of the reds, which hopefully will improve his skiing quicker.

All the best Razz

re: borovets runs

I went to Borovets last year, it was my first time skiing. We were put into an intermediate class which was ok. As you have seen the runs are more advanced. I think we would have been better off going to a flatter more novice area. Having said that, I'm considering going back this year. There is a nice green run at the top of the gondola, and a couple of short drag lifts at the bottom to practise on.

re: borovets runs

from what I remember the lift outside the rila takes you to the top of a blue run, slight bits of it might be on the massala path, but not much, the blue bits were nice and wide.
Dont take too much notice of the colours on the maps, some of them should be shades of red and black! we took novices with us last time and they got from top to bottom with no problems.

No ski school - anywhere in the World would put you in an intermediate class if you had never skied before.

FACT!
