Just got back this morning - no problems but one very good piece of advice - wear layers that you can take off - the planes are VERY warm !! Seriously!! Ham & cheese roll, and a cake filled with choc with a free drink
Flew Bulg Air last year. Old plane(737), good legroom, basic food, got there and back in one piece so that was the main thing. Going out again March 16th but with British Airways from Heathrow
Incidentally, if you are interested in knowing more about the plane you a going on or have been on, then get the planes reg code(big letters/numbers on side) put it into google and search a couple of aviation websites. It will tell you all about the history of the plane, when built, accidents, incidents ...

The one we went on had been mothballed by American Airlines for a year in the Nevada Desert before Bulg Air bought it.
Don't do any of this if you are a nervous flyer
Flew out last Sunday (Manchester-Sofia) and came back yesterday. Really, no probs, free beer and wine and a very nice ham/cheese croissant. Legroom no worse than normal (I'm 6' 2"). Hand luggage quite generous (as in the physical size is not as tight as (say) Ryanair and hold allowance is 20kg pp which is fine.
