re: burning soles - any remedies

I have got the foot beds... I am new to this thats what I meant by the moulds, they heated up the thing and I stood on it etc.... and paid an extra £40 so we can cross that off as a remedy Sad

Staying in Mourgavats this year, last year Pamporova and another I dont remember the name of,,,, my friends have introduced me to so many people out there and they are all sooooo nice... cant wait to get back

Will the footbeds not take up a bit of room and therefor bugger up the custom fitting?

I bought some Salomon boots last year, but never got anything extra done to them in terms of fitting etc. Can these footbeds go in any boots or is it just specific ones? I had the same problem of my feet burning last year, and was almost considering taking party feet that I use in high heels to see if they would work!

Seriously though, would love to know if there was somewhere I could take my boots to get them properly fitted.

re: burning soles - any remedies

you can take them to any decent ski shop to have the foot beds done, they go in any boot, was told I could even us them in normal boots if I wanted to as they come out.

I did consider the party feet, thats one of the questions I am going to ask at Snow and rock,,, I could do with some kind of padding under the sole but not sure what, also keep away from thick socks the thicker they are the more the knit rubs on your sole, and try to avoid your feet sweating.... not sure how but thats why ...

re: burning soles - any remedies

if you have ski'd before and never had burning soles you are fine,,, but if you are new to this then beware they can be agony... I get them when I go walking or to the gym so if you dont know what they are then you probably will not experience it at all.

they are as they sound, your soles just burn and burn and burn, its agony and the pain shoots up my leg also.... I reckon if all else fails a good stiff drink or two will help numb the pain

re: burning soles - any remedies

I think a good stiff drink or two is in order even if your feet don't burn
