It will be much cheaper to buy them in bulgaria, but you won't have the after sales service if there's a problem and they need to be changed once you get back to the UK

re: buying equipment in Boro

I posted on this a bit earlier. My husband bought a Burton board and bindings in Borovets for £377 and they threw in a Burton carry bag. The same board is being sold in snow and rock in chertsey, surrey for £400 and the binding are £150. Glad he persuaded me to let him buy it out there!

I was fine for a board and some bindings when I bought last year in Bansko £120 for the lot. The Bindings aren't the best though and footwear is not really much cheaper than the UK

Have a great time

Is the snowboard you bought really a "burton"-or is it a fake?

Reluctant to buy anything out there as most are fakes.

My mate went to pamps last year bought a burton snowboard-thought she got a good deal. But it turned out to be a old unbranded one- with a new spray job and BURTON logos etc..

Well mine was a 'Factory' board. Still unable to find out much about them apart from they are Austrian. Has lasted me 2 trips so far and I have no complaints. Taking into account hire costs it has virtually paid for itself

re: buying equipment in Boro

My husbands Board is a definite Burton and the bindings are Burtons as well. He took them in to get his bindings done on Saturday at snow and rock and the guy couldn't believe how cheap he had got it for. The shop is on the main street in Boro. Two down from Katys Restaurant.

We have managed to get a cheap deal to France over Easter - just so he can try the thing out!

The other thing was he rang Burtons when we got home to confirm that if he had a problem with it there were places in the UK and abroad that can fix it for him straight away.
