Hi everyone,
I have read a few things on here about rising temperatures and rain forecast etc.
This, unfortunately is going to happen.
The jet stream is moving North during Tuesday and Wednesday allowing the winds to change direction to South, South Westerly dragging in warm air from North Africa. The warm air extends all the way to West Africa where it is unusually hot there for this time of year.
This warm air is expected to push through the region and colder weather to return after next weekend.
There is plenty of rain/snow to come this week but it is difficult to predict at what altitude freezing will occur. It is fairly safe to say that resorts below 1500m are more than likely to have rain than snow.
Things can change rapidly, but the events of the changing jet stream and the unusally hot North Africa, do not hold well for BG
As far as I can see it is only a very short 'warm snap' with temps only reaching 5 or 6 max at the tops of the mountains for a couple of days at the most. Goes cold again Sunday and with little precip about is nothing to worry about. Particularly with 2m snow cover!
i hope so, its our first time so havent got a clue what to expect, whats good or bad , but one thing i do know is i carnt wait to get there... i keep looking at the webcams 10 to 15 times a day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
