bottled out of our planned trip back to boro due to the lack of white & changed our booking to go to pamps instead (have to say crystalski were spot on) so i have a few questions if somebody would be so kind.
1.how long is the transfer.....................is it epic
2.we are staying at the grand(or not so) hotel.does anybody know it,whats it like................i`ve stayed at the Bor & the Flora in boro so i`ve seen both sides of the coin.
3.how far is the grand from the slopes
4.how is pamps on a board.anywhere to avoid
5.most importantly best places to eat & drink

I stay closer to mid station so dont know how long, but Murgevets is about a mile from the bottom of the slop - half a mile from Ski Station 1.

grand murgavets: never seen the rooms but the bar is very nice, they have a spa and pool so guess a 3* +

Go up the sky bar at sunset - few stories up and looks over the mountain.

Nope - my Custom X has hit every slope; couple of flat bits (Smolyan Lakes and bottom of the green from mid station). Some cracking wide runs as well - Stokitie runs are really wide in places and you can nip off piste along the lift at times.

I belive from PSP on here that there was powder in the trees - quite a few nice tree runs to be had.

5.most importantly best places to eat & drink.

Cheap and good Danmar - whats that posh place anyone someting del mar? That was really good. BBQ restaurant at murgavets is good. Bar wise noit sure as I stop further out so dont bother as we have a bat and restaurant on site.

Hi psychonaut, we went to Pamps Jan 11-18 and are returning there next week Feb 9-16. We had a good ski in Jan although it had barely snowed since last Nov so after last week's dump it should be brill! The transfer time is a good 4 hours I'm afraid ( from Sofia ), we were in an old minibus ( van! )
Don't know where The Grand is but if it's in town it'll be around 2.5 km from ski centre 2 ( main ski centre ). Our hotel provides a shuttle bus.
Don't know much about the town itself because last time we stayed at The Marconi which is beside ski centre 2, good in daytime, crap at night!
