cant believe its going to rain

I cant believe its going to rain!! I am going out there with my friend Phil in two weeks 5 days and its raining this friday according to the weather report. has anyone been out there when it has rained and has it just killed it? The top does not say rain only mid and bottom gutted at the mo as its started to look good and really looking forward to a good ski and plenty of beers. Any thoughts guys? Won't be nearly as bad as you might imagine. I've skied in a thunderstorm in bansko. Next day brilliant weather. Rain is not a big problem as long as the base is ok so relax.

its said its going to snow and it hasnt, its still a way off yet ive been to boro when its rained and with in minutes turned to snow, dont worry im going out on the 7th of march it will be fine. ive also been and its been 16 degs and then at night temps dropped and snowed all night its just so unpredictable.

long range forcast is good , it is raining in the town , light misle , then from mid way up the hill kits snow ....dont be all dome and gloom a holiday is what you make of it ...i promise you shall have snow , more coming in from russia soon too

Last year in Bansko we got rained on all day... not good given the fact that snow gear is snow proof not water proof... after about 3 hours they started to leak therefore we ended up soaked, was still funny though!!

I wouldn't worry too much, all can change in a matter of hours but if it does rain for a day it's not likely to wash much away now given kas's latest reports I'm pretty sure you'll have a great time with tonnes of snow

Oh for crying out loud get a grip. Plenty of snow in all resorts a little rain will not wash it away. It is not like the uk ie 2cm of snow that disapears rapidly. Why are you worrying about a forcast for next Friday? They can barely forcast what is going to happen in 2 hours time. Relax

just chill- its highly unlikley a little rain at resort level would wash away the snow!
think yourself lucky you hadnt paid to be there at christmas/new year when there was concern over lack of snow!
im sure youll enjoy it- relax and dont worry!

Just in the door having returned from Bansko.

It rained all day Thursday in, and was raining yesterday evening and during the night.

More importantly....it was only raining in town. Up the mountain it snowed all day Wednesday. most of Thursday, and a few flakes yesterday.

Conditions couldnt be better at the moment.

To be honest the good thing about the rain in town is that it is melting the snow on the roads/footpaths and making it easier to get around town!!!!!
