whats the cash situation in Borovets, do they take stirling, Euros, credit cards & do the ATM,s take english cards, also what is a sensible amount of cash to take
When we went we took about 200 GBPs (for 2 people) and exchanged them at the bank at the Samakov hotel to Lev as and when we needed them. Then when we ran out of money we used the ATM with no problems. From what I can remember you won't find many bars/resturants that accept card payments.
Take English sterling, must be clean notes not torn or written on, plus cash cards which will give you a good exchange rate. Plenty of ATM's in all resorts. Try and get some levs before you go so you are ready as soon as you arrive.
Change money ONLY at your hotel reception or banks. NEVER with strangers no matter what rate they offer as you are almost certain to be give out-dated currency which is worthless.
£200 for 2 people????? Bloody hell you know how to live don' you rach? No wonder you ran out of money!!!! I took more than that when I went on my own in 98 and prices have gone up since then.
