right - help. yes yes i know you have all been very helpful to us all over the months - and i am sure you have been asked the same questions time and time again - but i am just about to book, and i want to get it right!! looking to book the strazhite in bansko for two adults and two teenagers. any views? could i also be advised of when you lot would recommend we go - the price varies throughout jan and feb - want the best snow. i know i am a pain - but please please please assist me..... ...

Hi Jax,I guess, from looking at historical snowe reports, that end of Jan seems like good a bet as any. Bankso also has a better snow record than most I believe!?! No idea about the hotels though, only been to Pamp...

excellent - i suppose i could have done the historical search thingy - but trying to price the holiday, choose the hotel and the time of year, along with attempting to look busy at my job is driving me insane, and i dont have a pc at home!many thanks

Yep - go for end Jan / early Feb. Don't wait until after half term week as pistes have been well used by then and it's also starting to warm up.Do it on-line via this website if you can
And Herts isn't so confusing - cos that's where I am

whereabouts in herts?we went to borovets this year very early on in jan - we had some lovely snow - although alot of the pistes were icy. i think we will aim mid to late jan. prices are relatively good for then. any clues on hotels tho?

You are making the right choice!
I stayed in the Strazhite last year and have booked to go again this year. Rooms are small but very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Pool and sauna are fab after a hard days skiing! There will be newer and probably better hotels there this year as there is a lot of building work going on but I think the Strazhite is great for the money. The breakfasts are really good, evening meals not so good but you know what to expect anywhere in Bulgaria and there ...

There is a bowling alley in the hotel as well which will be great for the teenagers. And it is easy walking distance to the slopes (they do put a bus on though as well).
All in all a great choice. We certainly would not be going back if we didn't enjoy it (or be taking 20 of our friends!)

nellthanks for that! just what i wanted to hear! what are the chances of building work being incomplete tho..... or is this a daft question?
