Yes of course
70000 active BG skiers(perhaps the total of active ones) choosing the better slopes rather than skiing next to their door or in the mountain where there see it from the bedroom window.
Isn't that sooooo logic .
Very funny when somebody thinks hard and comes with some excuses in defence.
How about this:
....The owner of Pamporovo (gurly burly ex or not ex girlfriend of the BG PM) has given FREE list passes for season 12/13 to her buddy and the rest of the MPs as a ...

Let sit and enjoy the ride reading the next lot of answers from the vested forumers now.

I think The whole Saga of ''BG grab resorts'' is going to develop in this way:
First'' Vitosha Ski'' will be make to pay compensation for not opening the whole season the mountain and blackmailing every Sofia Citizen.
That hefty sum will be issued and has to be paid by the Monopolist Ts Minev .
Secondly- Vitosha Ski will probably go back to some form of public ownership rather than private off shore hands.
Thirdly - Bansko has hit the buffers as far as the enlargement is concerned and ...

Thirdly - Bansko has hit the buffers as far as the enlargement is concerned and has to be penalised (again this monster of a businessman) for changing the periferies of Pirin National park and excluding it from Unesco list for that reason.
Not last Pamporovo (there the matter is more difficult because the interests are (girlfriend of PM etc) will find some turning to satisfy the public which is P... O. With the whole saga.
The young citizens are now in charge and on the streets so things will get better no doubt.
re: cuts from the meeting between PM and protesters before the decision to veto the Forestry Act.
Today 12th the notorious owner of Bansko and recently Vitosha near Sofia has lost the battle of trying to fix his direction and approve it with Act.
After almost daily demonstrations of the BG Youth demanding annuling this shameful Chapter allowing cheap and uncontrolable moving up the mountains and destroying in the process the forest, has lost as the Act was approved without the controversial details in effect throwing it out..

Not good for all those who were betting on further expansion around the BG ski Resorts,
good for BG Nature as a whole though.

I had missed this one, as a vested forumer with massive investments and reliant on this forum for every crumb of income, i must say... i don't really care the monopolising by Minev and his company is a bad thing and should be bought to bare, sadly this is business, so frankly i do not think it will make a blind bit of differance... and as for the ex of the PM, she will invest in Pamporovo, who else was going to ?

As regards BG nature, perhaps more emphasis should be directed to the illegal fly tipping, rubbish, and widescale logging within the national parks ?
re: cuts from the meeting between PM and protesters before the decision to veto the Forestry Act.
Agree with you on that Steve.
Endemic problems allround Bulgaria is the fly tipping(bringing back vivid memories of a nasty river beds around Bansko with plastic bags hanging from branches everywhere), rubbish dumps in undesirable places (that will take a hell of a long time to sort out)
I guess you are having fits everyday passing by them ugly places but educating and leading by example will do little by little some help.

As for widescale logging in Bulgaria it is not going to end(or maybe only end with the end of forests)
