Book a flight with BA heathrow/sofia go out sat in jan back following sat £185 plus tax seems a good price to me!!!!!!!!!(proper scheduled flight, loads leg room and edible food, and seperate gate for BA coming back oh joy!!!!)

That is the flight we have taken the 2 times we have been to Borovets.A smallish plane with very comfy leather seats. Good food and service. A delay of 1 hour coming back the other year and we got meal vouchers to spend at Sofia and also meal on board - great. Also none of this nonsense about paying to sit together etc like you get on the chartered airlines.
Heathrow is also a bonus for us. Book on line is simple and hassle free. To be recommended.

Hi F&SSounds good mate, is this a schedualed off the shelf price or do you need to book well in advance ??? Could be good for those who know their plans.
I have contacted a number of low cost airlines (Ryan air etc) to try and get some info regarding their plans if any for BG. I have had no response to date but will keep everyone posted...

Its OK if you have accomodation arranged separately. But then the lift passes are more expensive when you get there. Will go package with Neilson same as this year as overall it is the best value. Also Thomas Cook Airline was not bad for a charter. Food was even edible.

Love em Val, can`t think of a favourite but the one with the lady asking for the hairdryer was very amusing (and reminiscent, just didn`t own a gun at the time)

Been off the board for a while, got my son for Easter so having to entertain him, took him to Birmingham yesterday on a job, it was a long day granted, but when i add up what i spent on Burgerking, Pizza Hut, a little prezzie (dvd) i don`t think i made anything yesterday

Steve,I've done this flight 6 times now and never paid anything other than £185, there is always space as well. You can fly with Czech Air via Prague as well if for some reason flights in high season were full.

Hi ya Greg...Good news my friend, i have done the Czech Air flight (nearly 7 hours if you take the stop in Prague) but it was cheap. Will keep my eye on the BA flight, going out to Bansko in May/June hopefully...

The BA flight is a daily scheduled flight to Sofia. The price does change with supply and demand so generally the earlier you book the popular dates - Christmas and half term the better the price.
We booked the half term date as soon as it was released last year at approx £72 + taxes each way - the price nearly tripled as the time went on. Other less in demand dates will remain the same so just watch the website if you're not sure.
We looked into this option again for this season ...
