re: drive from airport

I took my SatNav to Bulgaria and it didn't work.
I knew that there were no maps, but I'd hoped to save a few waypoints with names like 'Turn left at the lights' and it would work on a blank screen next time, but the unit didn't even detect a satellite, so there must be some encryption that the British units can't decode...at least not out of the box

dont intend to drive out there but headlights handy to know.
