1 tip, take an emergency pack with you, like food, water, sleeping blankets etc in case you have to spend a night in your vehicle .........woops, don't want to make you any more nervous!!!.
Bless your heart!
Can't give a lot of advice here but I would say reduce tyre pressure, snow chains or tyres. Drive smoothly no sudden braking or accelerating. Good Luck
try not to usesyour brakes, and overnight, park in gear, not with the handbrake. If it get very cold your handbrake will freeze on and you will have trouble the next day.
Also here in bulgaria between november and april, you must have your headlights on at all times. Even if it is a brilliant summers day.
thanks for the tips folks, most stuff (food, blankets, extra anti-frostwater for refilling, wintertyres) are ready. I never use my handbrake coz Belgium is flat
Got 2 maps, an outprint of the map via google and a friend who's always calm lol
ahum
Don't be tempted to run any distance/speed with under inflated tyre pressures. Tyre hysterisis might just ruin more than your trip.
When encoutering snow I always remind my co-driver that as I've already done more than my share of the driving, maybe they'd like to take over..............
Anyways, might try Boro first week in Jan, fancy a change from Bansko. Maybe Pamps if it has reasonable snow.
pete, it is snnier her in january than england in august !! you know that lol. that is when i have been stopped by the police, sure no real fine !! just corruption ! lol
