We exchanged money before going and got 2.781 lev to the £ from Travelex (ordered online and collected it at the airport), the bureau de change at the gondola station in Bansko was giving 2.98 lev to £1 and buying back at 2.78 per pound.

Would you not be at a loss of one stinky if purchased at travlex and 20 stinkys down if you had paid for them in resort? When buying back of course!
