Have just been quoted and exchange rate of 2.5876 bulgarian lev to 1GBP, is this good or bad? Question Question Question

last year was around 279 to the pound but to be honest unless your changing thousands the diffence is pence.

You should be looking for at least 2.7 at the moment.

That was me getting it at halifax staff rate. Will wait and see if goes up any within the next 3 weeks. If not i'll just get £100 changed and bring the rest in sterling

Problem is that the Lev is linked to the Euro, and at the moment the pound has lost significant ground over last two weeks. The actual true bank rate is only 2.73 so you will do very well to get anything near approaching 2.7......only three weeks ago it was nearer 2.9 actaul bank rate just to give you an idea how much the pound has weakened recently. In the last week (this week) the pound has hit its lowest 12month value against the Euro.

no euro exchange rate is terrible at min its around 1.30 look at commercial rate as this is what you get if you draw money on a visa card over there, we have found in europe often even with the charge on your card you get a better rate.

Get a flex acc at Nationwide as you get v good rate and no charges
