re: exchange rate?

Leo - Bansko in the Banks ranges from 2.58-2.61.

In the hotels 2.45-2.50

On the street vending machines (like the one opposite Friendly Bar) they are lower again.

The rate at Sofia Airport was 2.14

Hope this gives you a decent indication.

re: exchange rate?

If you want Les before you go Travelex are offering 2.5291 today.
We have always found them to be the most competitive and convenient. Prebook online and then pick up at the airport when you go. The rate is the best from the UK as long as you prebook. The spot rates they offer in the airports on the day are usually dire. also for an extra £3 you can guarantee that they will buy back at the same rate you originally bought for. Not a bad deal if the £ keeps sinking like it is

If anyone has a first choice travel shop near them they will match any price when changing up money, im exchanging tomorrow and they will have to match travelex which is about the best at the moment.

re: exchange rate?

Bring some sterling. We are here on Crystalski package and all their entertainment extras are priced in sterling or if you pay with lev the rate is 2.88 to the pound whereas Lloyds gave me 2.49 lev to the pound.
