i stayed in at the flora hotel last week and the room had a safety deposit box ( i thought great keep my camera etc safe) which was bolted to a shelf which could be just lifted straight out of the cupboard. try explaining that to any insurance company if anything got stolen.... ha ha

re: flora hotel

I think we were the lucky ones!!
Everyone we spoke to in our hotel asked if our bath panel fell off when we got in the bath.
Not really as stupid as yours but made us laugh everytime someone asked us!!

re: flora hotel

you had a bath???? i had a room that was supposed to have a balcony and had a view of the fire escape and corner shower cubicle where the shower curtain was about 4" to short so i suppose the floor was like a bath. but still had a good time, i've stayed in worse places.

re: flora hotel

If it makes you feel better, our shower curtain was too short too. Oh and there was no seal around the bath so if you did shower or splashed too much in the bath the floor got soaked anyway!!
We had a great time and i've stayed in worst places in the uk!!! Confused

re: flora hotel

Was in the Ice angels hotel last week. On first entering the bathroom in our hotels room, i could believe how warm it was, yet the heated towel rail was stone cold. Tiled floot also felt pretty cold so no underfloor heating either. could't undertand where the heat was coming from.

Later that night, sat on loo to find that the cistern was red hot! I reckon the plumber must have plumbed the hot water supply for the rad to the toilet and vice versa.

Plonker!

Hi Macca - You had a cubicle???

Last year we stayed at the Hotel Olymp where they have the amazing space saving, all-in-one,shower-loo combos. Basically if you look up whilst sitting on the loo, you will see a shower sprinkler dangling from the ceiling about 10 inches to the right of the loo. There's no shower tray, just a small hole in the floor- fantastic! Still makes me giggle when I think about it.

Nick - perhaps they were expecting the Queen. She likes a hot loo Exclamation

I'll tell PP it may be just what he needs after the ski-a-thong. Very Happy

Mr T - unless you really need the laptop, I'd leave it at home - it will be a big temptation. Rila has a computer suite you could pop into to retrieve emails. Hopefully you will be too busy all week, with the huge amount of snow blowing across Europe at the moment. Very Happy Very Happy
