well youve done alot better than me iv had this for ages and cant suss the bloody thing out sent it to others and they got it within minutes

OK, not going to give too much away, but the answer can only be 0 or even! There is a mathematical way to work it out as well as a "open minded" way.

Thanks to a friend of mine I have now got it. She got it straight away. I think it depends which way your mind works. I was trying to overcomplicate the maths!!!
