Well, I nearly put my foot in it there! I fully agree with P/Pete's stance on those unsavoury areas that we don't even need to type again and again. But I have to say when I saw the original posting I thought well, it is an innocent enough question to ask. I was about to type the response 'It is great for a group of adult lads and don't expect too many early nights'.
But I didn't respond due to the debate it seems to have caused.

I must admit that I didn't find the question that offensive - especially compared to some that have been posted and answered without comment.
I'm probably naiive, but I thought the go go bar was just a place where adults could go and watch scantily clad girls dance, but not a place where they would go to pick up prostitutes. There seem to be scantily clad girls dancing on the TV pretty often these days and not that late at night, either.

I must admit that I didn't find the question that offensive - especially compared to some that have been posted and answered without comment.

I'm no puritan - I drink and have on occasion (and under duress, of course...) visited 'adult' clubs. I think Mark's question was phrased inoffensively and could easily be answered in a way that would not cause offence - to ban him from asking it is like banning people from buying cars because they might run someone over. It is those who choose to submit offensive postings that should be sanctioned.

Well said Pete. Again, I am another frequent reader and don't want to see this type of thread.As you say, "It's not the question that's the issue ...", and like Lizard I thought it innocent enough at 1st. Just goes to show how innocent I am!

thankyou it was a simple question about a place i saw advertised on THIS website,there is a small group of us mid twenties going out for some sking and boarding and going out for a general good time that dosent mean drugs and prostitues, as you seem to understand, the question was not ment to be offensive,regards markre: go go girls
no i didnt mean to cause offence just a question about a pub i saw on this website and wanted a bit of sensible feedback which i thought i would of got as most people on here seem to be farley sensible, apart from the odd one or two didnt think it would be me :

It seems a reasonable question politely asked for a young lad to me, having a laugh is all part of the holiday experience if you are in to that sort of thing, even if you're not no reason why you should care if someone else is.
True, there is the issue of where do you draw the line -don't particuarly want the board to turn into a xxx board either, but if its your board you draw the line where you like, based on your own judgement, complaints etc. It may be a slippery slope, but as skiers ...

(I am aware of the irony in this).

Fact there are loads of prostitutes in Pamps I have been approached every time I go there Bj's and Spiders bar are the most favaroute hangouts. But I just say NO THANKS and move on . I must add I have never been offered drugs. Yes this is a message board for all and I agree anyone using it for what Osome may deem to be amoral reasons should be shown the door.
